    She has more than 15 years of experience advising the world ́s global, front-running multinational companies who are leaders in their industry and law firms around the world. She handles their most significant matters as well as their major legal strategic decisions, preemptive support and day-to-day operational issues. Patricia is a Mexican and US-trained international attorney with professional experience in Mexico and the United States. She has broad expertise and has been involved in some of the most important IP litigations in Mexico and in renowned mergers and acquisitions in which the intellectual property is one of the most important assets. During the last years Patricia has brought important IP clients to the firm, including Fortune 500 companies. She is an active member of relevant associations of Intellectual Property in Mexico.

    Her expertise extends to: trademarks, copyright, trade secrets, domain names, portfolio management, unfair competition, anti-counterfeit, invalidation, cancellation and infringement actions, administrative proceedings and constitutional amparo related to IP and advertising, consumer protection and product liability, brand licensing, advising and acquisition of IP rights, franchising as well as marketing campaigns and due diligence projects, among others.

    Advised Mars in the acquisition of Chocolates Turin. Turin controls approximately 5% of the Mexican chocolate market, which is worth more than USD $1.1 billion.

    Advised Anheuser Busch InBev in one of their important strategic operations regarding the asset purchase including trademarks, machinery and other equipment of Cermex (Cervecería Mexicana S.A. de C.V.).

    Advised Anheuser Busch InBev in an important purchase including the full trademark portfolio, machinery and brewing factory.

    Advised Krispy Kreme US in the buy back of its Mexican operations from private equity fund Nexxus Capital

    Advised Procesar, S.A. de C.V., Empresa Operadora de la Base de Datos Nacional SAR in the defense of its intellectual property rights in connection with the operation of the Mexican Retirement Savings System.

    Advised T69, S.A. de C.V., one of Mexico’s most representative builders, in the defense of its intellectual property rights over the renowned skyscraper “CHAPULTEPEC UNO R 509” which will host the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Mexico City.

    Advised Mars, Inc. in the negotiations for the Licenses necessary for the production and commercialization of its renowned liqueur filled chocolates in México and abroad.
