On January 1st 2014 Von Wobeser y Sierra S.C. ("VWyS") announced Diego Sierra as its newest Partner of the Firm, thus reaffirming its strategic, steady and organic growth.  Diego will head the Anticorruption & Compliance practice of VWyS advising international and national clients in their compliance efforts regarding Mexican anti-corruption rules as well as extra-territorial regulations such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.  Diego Sierra will maintain the commercial litigation and international arbitration practice to which he has been committed throughout his career.  He is a Mexican attorney (also admitted to practice in New York) with international experience in New York (Skadden Arps (2011-2012)) who has been actively engaged in some of VWyS' most significant arbitrations and litigations of the past decade.

Some of Diego Sierra's recent representative work includes advising Anheuser-Busch InBev/Grupo Modelo (before and after Grupo Modelo's acquisition by Anheuser-Busch InBev) on both compliance and international arbitration matters.  Additionally, he currently represents European financial institutions in complex commercial litigation matters in their collection efforts in Mexico.  In international commercial arbitration, he represents a European consumer products company in a multi-million ICC commercial arbitration.

Diego Sierra obtained his LL.M. degree, with honors, from Northwestern Law School as well as a certificate in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management.  He graduated from the Escuela Libre de Derecho, with honors.  Diego Sierra's business skills together with his international experience are a perfect complement for the litigation and dispute resolution services VWyS has always strived to provide to its clients-the most brilliant legal talent coupled with a constant awareness of the international implications of legal decisions taken in Mexico.
