Update: The suspension of legal terms for the Energy Regulatory Commission concludes

Yesterday, the Energy Regulatory Commission (“CRE”) published in the Federal Official Gazette (“DOF”), the “Ruling resuming the legal terms and deadlines for the Energy Regulatory Commission, which were suspended as a measure to prevent and combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the various numbers A/010/2020, A/014/2020, A/015/2020 and A/018/2020”. (“Ruling”).


The Ruling establishes that as of August 17, 2020, the suspension of legal terms for the acts and procedures carried out by the CRE is concluded.


Likewise, the Ruling terminates the effects of the Rulings No. A/010/2020, A/014/2020, A/015/2020 and A/018/2020, published in the Federal Official Gazette on March 24, April 7 and 30, and May 29, 2020. Therefore, any actions, requirements, requests or filings submitted before the CRE during the period set forth in such Rulings shall be understood to be made on August 17, 2020.


Finally, it is provided that the health and safety measures to be implemented for the operation of the Reception Office, as well as the entry of individuals to CRE’s facilities, will be published in its official website and will be adapted in accordance with the instructions issued by the health authorities.
