Valeria is an associate of Von Wobeser y Sierra and collaborates primarily in the Arbitration and Litigation practices of the firm.
She has participated in complex international commercial, investor-state and public works arbitrations. She also provides support in international arbitral proceedings conducted under various rules and involving different jurisdictions. Valeria has represented clients before local and federal Mexican courts in annulment and enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as in administrative, commercial and civil proceedings, among other types. She received her law degree with honors from the Universidad Iberoamericana, and has been an adjunct professor in the course on Alternate Dispute Resolution Mechanisms of that university. Before joining the firm, she interned in the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court for the Former Yugoslavia of the United Nations. She also participates in the legal analysis of international investment and free trade agreements in order to advise foreign investors on their rights under those agreements.
