Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C. Announces Two New Partners and a New Counsel
We are pleased to announce that we have strengthened our firm with the promotion of two new Partners and the incorporation of a new Counsel. With these strategic additions, the number of Partners rises to 16 and the firm reinforces its full-service offering.
Patricia Kaim was appointed Partner. She has more than 15 years of experience in the Industrial and Intellectual Property Practice. She is an international attorney trained in Mexico and the United States, and has advised leading international companies. She earned her Law degree, cum laude, from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City, and also holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business and Commercial Law from Fordham University in New York City. Alberto Córdoba was also appointed Partner after accumulating more than 15 years of experience in the Corporate Law, Mergers and Acquisitions and Joint Ventures Practice. He likewise has experience in our Energy and Natural Resources Industry Group. He obtained his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City. He subsequently expanded his studies with a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International and European Business, Competition and Regulatory Law from the Freie Universität, located in Berlin. In addition to the new partners, retired Justice of the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice, Margarita Luna Ramos, joins Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C. as Counsel, where she will focus her Practice on arbitration matters, without any involvement in litigation. She has more than 40 years of experience in the Federal Judiciary of Mexico. The retired Justice has been a pioneer in various positions in the Mexican legal sphere. She was the first woman president of the College of Secretaries of Study and Account of the Supreme Court (1985); the first woman to preside over a national meeting of District Judges (1992); the first woman Magistrate in Electoral matters (1994); the first woman appointed Counsel of the Federal Judiciary Council by competitive examination (2003); President of the Gender Equality Committee of the Federal Judiciary (2015); President of the Gender Commission of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit (2017); Vice President of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ, 2018), among others.
