The health emergency arising from Covid-19 is declared terminated

We hereby inform you that on May 9, 2023, the Ministry of Health published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (“DOF”) the decree by virtue of which the extraordinary action in matters of general health aimed at preventing, controlling, and mitigating the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (Covid-19) (the “Decree”) is declared terminated, which entered into force on the day following its publication.

The Decree provides that the extraordinary action in matters of general health arising from Covid-19 ordered in the “Decree declaring extraordinary actions in the affected regions throughout the national territory in matters of general health to combat the serious disease of priority concern generated by the SARS-CoV-2 virus (COVID-19)” dated March 27, 2020, is declared terminated, as well as those related measures subsequently issued by the General Health Council and by the Ministry of Health. Additionally, the Decree establishes that the Ministry of Health must issue a long-term management plan for the control of Covid-19 within the 30 calendar days following the entry into force of the Decree.
