The Plenary of the Commission, at its session held on May 25 and published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on May 29,1 agreed that the initial period (March 23 to April 17), the second period (April 20 to April 30) and the third period (May 6 to May 29) of suspension of terms will be extended. In addition to the foregoing, the proceedings for which the terms will continue to run normally are: (i) requests for a formal opinion; (ii) general guidance; (iii) the opinions provided for in article 12, sections XII, XIII, XIV, XV and XVIII, of the Federal Economic Competition Law (the “Law”); (iv) public consultations; (v) the immunity program; (vi) the benefit of waiver or reduction of the amount of fines; (vii) the stage subsequent to the conclusion of investigations for monopolistic practices or unlawful concentrations; (viii) the time periods for the Plenary to issue a resolution in any proceeding, under certain conditions; (ix) the processing and steps necessary to take the evidence ordered for a better resolution, provided that such taking of evidence entails solely the submission of documents; (x) in incidental proceedings or those conducted in the form of a trial, the summons for closing arguments, the time periods to submit closing arguments, or the completion of the case file; and (xi) the actions aimed at conducting the oral hearing provided for in article 83, section VI, of the Law. All filings submitted before the Commission during the first, second, third and fourth suspension periods and that are not related to the proceedings indicated above will be deemed filed on June 15.
