On May 29, the following agreements relating to authorities of the energy sector were published in the Federal Official Gazette:
i) Ministry of Energy ("SENER"). "Agreement amending and supplementing the agreement establishing the suspension of legal terms and time periods of the Ministry of Energy, as a measure to prevent and combat the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19" ("SENER Agreement"). ii) Energy Regulatory Commission ("CRE") "Agreement No. A/018/2020 amending Agreements No. A/010/2020, A/014/2020, and A/015/2020, establishing the suspension of legal terms and time periods of the Energy Regulatory Commission, as a measure to prevent and combat the spread of the coronavirus COVID-19" ("CRE Agreement"). Said Agreements establish that the suspension of the terms and time periods of the acts and proceedings substantiated before SENER and CRE will be extended from June 1 until the health authorities establish that there is no epidemiological risk. During said period, the actions, notifications, requirements, requests, or motions filed before SENER and CRE will be understood to have been carried out once the health authorities establish that there is no risk. Specifically, the CRE Agreement provides that the days and hours necessary during the referenced period will be enabled, in order to address the matters that the Governing Body of the CRE and its Administrative Units deem necessary. Likewise, the CRE Agreement establishes that those procurement, leasing, and services proceedings whose performance is of extreme urgency or that are necessary for the continuity of operations to fulfill the essential functions of the CRE are exempted from the suspension measure provided for in the Agreement.
