Update: Second Extension of the Suspension of Terms and Deadlines at the National Hydrocarbons Commission

The "Agreement amending the agreement that modifies the one declaring the suspension of deadlines and terms in the acts and proceedings conducted before the National Hydrocarbons Commission ("CNH")" (the "Agreement") was published today in the Official Gazette of the Federation ("DOF").

The Agreement modifies and extends, until May 31, 2020, the period of suspension of deadlines and terms in the acts and proceedings conducted before the CNH. In that regard, the deadlines and terms in the acts and proceedings conducted before the CNH will remain suspended from Monday, March 23, 2020, through Sunday, May 31, 2020. Likewise, the Agreement provides that, in the event that the competent health authorities of the Federal Government determine an extension or reduction of the period of suspension of activities due to the health emergency, it will be understood that the suspension period established in the Agreement will be for the same duration. Finally, the Agreement provides that, except for the extension referred to above, the "Agreement declaring the suspension of deadlines and terms in the acts and proceedings conducted before the National Hydrocarbons Commission from Monday, March 23 to Sunday, April 19, 2020," published in the DOF on March 20, 2020, remains in effect in all its terms.
